Every choice
Is in front of you
Participate in your life
Or watch it pass you by
Give away your secrets
Or keep them to yourself
Protect yourself
Or allow the energy of others in
Everything
Is a choice
Wave the white flag
Be at peace with yourself
Forgive yourself
Forgive every life
Love yourself
Love every aspect of you
If another controls you
Forgive yourself for allowing it
There is a difference
Between the cage and the key
Who chose the cage
Who holds the key
Is the cage real
Or are your choices the walls of the cage
Forgive yourself
Forgive all that has been a part of your life
Every painful memory
Is a wall of your cage
A cage created by the mind
A cage that thinks it keeps you safe
Sometimes you start to want more
You start to pace within the self-created cage
You blame others
You blame yourself
Nothing is satisfying
Nothing is good enough anymore
Why
Because you want out of your cage
The cage you created
The cage that keeps you safe
The only one that can eliminate the cage
Is you
No one is hurting you
No one is holding you down
Only you hide from life
Only you hide from sharing yourself
Where did you go

What did you hide from

Life is only real in the present
Life is happening right now
The future
Cannot be planned for
The future
Must be welcomed as it becomes the present
Bow to your life
Allow your life to bloom and grow
